VMU Extends Heartfelt Sympathies to France

Joining the worldwide display of support for France, Vytautas Magnus University has extended its heartfelt sympathies to the country, which was recently shaken by horrible atrocities.

In the letters addressed to Her Excellency Ms. Maryse Berniau, the Ambassador of France in Lithuania, and to French universities, VMU Rector Prof. Zigmas Lydeka expressed belief that these senseless events will not deter France’s bravery in any way and it will remain a beacon of liberty, equality and fraternity.

The entire VMU community stands together with France at this difficult moment. The university expresses solidarity with the world today and agrees that freedom and democracy are values we all must preserve and defend.
